Honoring Phyllis Rappeport

This was the first project that I made during my internship at the Public Media Network in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Phyllis was a life long musician and professor at Western Michigan University for many years; she seems to have lived a inspiring and fruitful life full of achievements and recognition. I came across a news article discussing her current activities and thoughts on her career, and knew I had to do something to help spread her story. As a pianist myself I felt connected to her history, and was touched by all the wonderful things people have to say about her. I’m not sure if she ever saw my video, but Phyllis, if you’re watching - Thank you for everything you’ve accomplished for our community.
