Hello.

Sam Rodeghier is a Multi-Media artist, focusing primarily in Photography and Video creation. He has achieved an Associates of Arts in Communications from Southwestern Michigan College, with a specialization in Creative Writing. He has also earned an Associates of Science in Multi-Media Production from Kalamazoo Valley College, with a specialization in Video. Sam interned for 10 months at the Public Media Network, a public television broadcast studio, in downtown Kalamazoo Michigan during 2019. He has been using and practicing with cameras of many kinds and varieties since 2004, video editing since 2010, and DSLR cameras since 2012. He is fluent in most Adobe and Microsoft Office programs.

Sam is a lover of all forms of art; striving to be a modern renaissance man where he can. From painting to story-writing, cooking to photography, poetry to video, animation to gardening, music to crafts, and everything in between; he prides himself on having many fields to borrow inspiration and techniques from.

When not working and growing his talents, Sam enjoys: spending time with his cat, Andy; hiking and camping; playing video games that challenge him to strategize; and enjoying the company of good friends.

“I like art that makes the viewers ask themselves questions; what they’ve seen, what they’ve heard, and what they’re supposed to think and feel after witnessing it. I employ themes of wonder, love, gloom, surprise, melancholy, awe, and dread in my art; emotions that are intense and shared by all. I want my art, regardless of its medium, to communicate a sense of humanity. To be easily understood by any viewer who comes across it, but unique in its understanding to each witness.”
