For this project I received a poem (Blue Tide) from a fellow student at my college and was tasked to create an animation to go along with their words. I came up with a story of nature and vistas to complement the touching writing I was given. There was a lot I had to learn to achieve my vision for the video, but I’m happy with how it turned out. Until this point I had done very little animation, and certainly nothing with parallax motion; but I buckled down and worked and reworked until I had things looking the way I wanted. I think that this project was a good demonstration of my ability to blend multiple forms of digital media into one final composition: painting, animating, video editing, audio management, and directing.
